shops seem to sell some metric, some imperial a rough calculation makes them seem almost the same but the product descriptions don't mention it being the same as an 8mm fitting. this is for a gas fitting in a camper.

If it is being monitored, then unplugging or breaking the control panel would automatically contact your alarm service (who would then contact you, or dispatch police). They might be able to stop it from making noise, but that's about it. The rest would depend on the response time of the police in your area.
Make a video, explaining what happened, and post it everywhere you posted the pictures and videos of them. People will see it and it might help. Give them some space and just try to talk to people who are talking about them. After a day or so, try to talk to Nicole, alone, and try to explain what happened and how sorry you are.
