I have a plan under sprint and my sister has broken her phone then lost my old back up phone. can i buy a cheap prepaid virgin mobile phone and activate it for sprint? please no jokes about using other carriers, sprint is the only thing that has any good signal where i live (nowhere).
No you can't at this time. It might be possible in the future as Sprint just bought out Virgin Mobile as of last month and they will take at least another six months integrating the two operations. Right now, Sprint only allows Sprint phones and Virgin Mobile only allows Virgin Mobile phones Btw, Virgin Mobile runs on the Sprint network ANYWAY, maybe you want to just buy a Virgin Mobile phone and run it on Virgin Mobile seeing as it is the same as Sprint (except for no roamingbut if Sprint is the only network that works in your area anyway, roaming is not an issue because that involves other carriers besides Sprint.). Virgin Mobile has better prices then Sprint anyway. If you are stuck with the Sprint plan, find a cheap used Sprint phone via Craigslist or OKorder and make sure that the esn/electronic serial number is clean (email the seller on OKorder and find out what the number is first, call Sprint customer care and check to make sure it is clean/not stolen/lost or has money owed to Sprint on it). If it is good to go, buy it. You should be able to activate it on Sprint.
