Question:

Can I use aluminum foil tubes in place for actual cannoli tubes?

My son ahs a quot;letter bagquot; day at school and I was wanting to make cannoli's for the classI can't for the life of me find cannoli forms/ tubes ANYWHERE close enough for me to go get and have them made by FRIDAY!!! PLEASE HELP!!

Answer:

I would not use foil! If you can't find cannoli shells in the store, make your own cannoli cones2 egg whites 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 1/3 cups sugar 2 tablespoons butter, melted 1/2 teaspoon vanilla Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick spray In a mixing bowl combine egg whites, flour, sugar, melted butter, and vanillaStir until smoothDrop batter by teaspoonfuls, about 4 inches apart, on cookie sheetSpread each to make 3-1/2-inch circles(Bake 3 or 4 cookies at a time.) Bake in a 375 degree F oven about 6 minutes or until bottoms of cookies are lightly brownedImmediately loosen cookies from cookie sheetTurn over and roll up each to form a coneCool on a wire rack, seam side down(If cookies become too stiff to roll, return briefly to oven to soften.) Repeat with remaining batter.
I use small squres ofsame carpet under the weight bearing parts of heavy furniture, bit fiddlyBlokes are good at that
When steam cleaning floors they should be dry to the touch before replacing furniture as furniture legs can leave rust and marks on floor when it is wet or damp and if your floor is wet this could possibly damage the furniture when not completely dryWhen in a hurry and not possible to wait drying time Tin Foil can be placed on bottom of the legs of furniture until dry you can also use old socks while floor is drying, or to facilitate faster drying place a fan or two on both ends of room to speed dry floor Good Luck !
let your floors dry completely
