Question:

Can someone explain multiplying out brackets (algebra)?

Could someone please explain how to multiply out brackets (algebra) and what methods i could use .

Answer:

brackets are just to give imporatnce to the operation ,so u hav to do it before you use use calculations out side it.everything else is same as basic calculation. for ex; 5(3+6)-2 here uyou hav to do 3+6 first and you cant multiply 5 and 3 as its outside braces so here its 5(9)-245-243
The method I learned in school was called foil xD lol. i forget what foil stands for basically just make sure all terms in one bracket multiplies with every term in the second bracket: (x^2 + x + 4)(x +3) (x^3 +3x^2 + x^2 + 3x + 4x + 12) x^3 + 4^2 + 7x + 12 if youre working with more that one bracket. I suggest expanding the first two brackets like i showed above, and the multiply the the second bracket using the same method. (x+2)(x+1)(x+3) (x^2 + 2x + x + 2)(x+3) (x^2 + 3x + 2)(x+3) x^3 + 3x^2 + 3x^2 + 9x + 2x + 6 x^3 + 6x^2 + 11x + 6
