Question:

Can someone help me solve this mystery....?

For the longest time, my 4 y/o has called construction barricades quot;investigaugesquot;. Is he trying to say something else but pronouncing it incorrectly? Something learned from Bob the Builder or the like? I can't correct him if he's onto something I'm unaware of.

Answer:

I think boysrus is correct-excavation. My 4 yo loves excavation trucks. You're so smart boysrus! Edit: LOL, I was taught by my son as well. That goes for all things construction. Have you tried asking him where the word comes from?
Lol. It's hard to tell where the mish mashes come from but they are hilarious. For the longest time my oldest called the millenium falcon, the vanillium malcom.
Maybe he's trying to say excavations? My 3 year old calls Special Agent Oso on Playhouse Disney Investigation Oso.
its true, that is a big word for 4 year old. He sounds very bright and curious about things. I didn't know construction barricades were investigauges. Kidding, but he is into something you are not aware of maybe they are two separate words that give him a clearer meaning. Time will tell
