Can someone please help understand these cake recipe directions?

Answer:

Duracoat is excellent but you really need to use a good paint airbrush compressor and kit I have used the Brownell's bake on finish with good resultsIt will come off in heavy wear areas like a slide rail, so don't get it thereBe sure to follow the directions exactly and don't let it get too thickCare and patience and following the directions will produce great results.
i have duracoat alsothe duracoat will come off but i have not seen it.i have had the coat 2 years abd my gun has been thru a great deal and it has still not come off.they can make just about any design.i would prefer the teflon but the cost is too much-retired texas deputy sheriff-
First, foil baking pans aren't strong enough on their ownUse a glass pan (9 x 13) or use 2 foil baking pans Now, you'll need another pan that's larger than the first oneAfter you put all the ingredients into the first pan, set that pan into another, larger panAdd enough water to the larger pan that it comes up the side of the first pan about 1This is called a Ban Marie and it means water bathThe water should be hot tap waterBe careful when placing it in the oven so you don't burn yourself There is a flan pan that you can use, alsoIf you want to have the round shape, you'll have to buy one of thoseA baking or kitchen store (or Michael's) will probably have what you wantI'm assuming you are making this now and don't have time to go out and buy new pansThe shape comes from the pan.
