Question:

can you get colored rubber bands in between your brackets or do you have to get colored brackets?

im getting braces in ummmmmmmmmm oh yah 3 months.and Ive seen 2 girls that have yellow and pink rubber bands in between there brackets.i wanted to know if that is possible and how much it costs.i would like that way more than regular colored brackets. please help me

Answer:

The bands go around the brackets, and you are usually allowed to pick the colors for free. It is fun to get red and green around the holidays. pink around Valentine's Day, etc. Stay away from clear white because those get a gross brown/yellow color. If you get sick of colors you can get gray to match the brackets if your brackets are silver metal. Sometimes people have clear brackets too, but usually not.
Brackets are always the same color, and you can generally get any colored bands that you want, at no additional cost. Tips: Don't get yellow (it makes your teeth look gross) or red (makes your teeth look bloody) and if you want you braces to be less noticeable, get either silver or clear. Enjoy your metal free mouth while you can!
i know the dentist i went to it didnt cost anything and i dont think it should. and yes you can get colored bands.
I believe you can choose the color you want.
