Question:

Can you make a cold air intake system for a 1995 chevy suburban 5.7?

If so how? Please be specific

Answer:

Yes, however you should avoid the trouble because 1) You will put your engine at risk 2) Did you know Cold Air Intakes provide minimal to not existence power increase? I think you are better just getting an adapter to install a filter just where your stock should be, if you like car performance, you can use a simulator to virtually tune your car and see how it would improve after mods, try at www.carperformance.tk
Y E P. You are now going to have to REPLACE your transmission. Sorry, but that is the turth
Dont listen to Peggy, she clearly uses crack. Get towed to a quick-lube, dealer or local mechanic and have the trans flushed. Don't attempt to drive as you could muff up the trans.
considering how much transmissions cost i think you should have it flushed. besides it is 4 years old and flushing the trans would be great to keep running like new. you can do it yourself if you want. there are you tube videos to show you how.
Well it seems as if Harley Drive has awoke on the wrong side of the bed and TJ needs a lil English 101. But for what its worth, I've owned a '99 Tahoe for the last 10 yrs, and have been get great gas mileage with my KN filter and Flwmstr cat back exhaust. Of course with meticulous maintenance to go along with it. I dont know what exactly what you are looking to get, but I wouldn't put a cold air intake without upgrading the exhaust as well. But if your'e looking for fuel efficiency, I woudl go with just the filter and exhaust upgrade and if your'e not satisfied, then go with an AirRaid intake. They perform just as good as KN, but at a third of the price. Dont forget to change your fuel filter and PCV valve as well, good luck!!! :-) Hey there Mr. Humveete, who pissed in your Cornflakes this morning. I was just merely suggesting a drop in KN filter, cuz THEY DO WORK. Of course one upgrade isn't going to solely to the trick, hence the reason I recommended a cat back with a full cold air intake. The difference is really noticed if you tow frequently, which I do. The engine is like a big a** airpump, the more airflow allowed, the better the efficiency/power. Let's see what happens when you restricy airflow Sir.(drops mic, exits stage left)
