Question:

Can you make a rug using sheets, without a loom?

I have 2 king sized sheets and I don't have a loom. I just want a way to braid it, or something easier.

Answer:

Nothing easier than braiding. Check out online sites that will give you step by step instructions. I won't put any links on. You can Google it yourself and find all kinds.
I have one my grandmother made, she tore fabric into strips and braided them, then wound the braid into a circle and sewed it.
It's called a rag rug. As already described, cut the sheets into long strips and make braids. A five strand braid is wider and flatter than a three strand, so is usually the braid of choice for a rug. Once you have finished the braids you can sew them together side by side into a round or oval shaped rug.
