Question:

Can you spray paint carpet?

I have stains in my carpet and I have used everything there is. So I want to know can I spray paint my carpet?

Answer:

Suggest you could have the carpet dyed, but sometimes that needs to be done by a professional such as a carpet cleaner .
no you can't spray paint carpet most carpets are made of acrylic fibers which the spray paint could melt also if the paint didn't melt the fibers they would stick together and look hideous try using the woolite carpet stick it shoots the cleaner into the carpet while you scrub back and forth to get the cleaner really down into your carpet! then you let it stop foaming and vacuum it
the paint will stiffen the carpet , you could rent a steam cleaner and pre treat the stains with vinegar and a scrub brush . There are Professional that dye carpets I have no idea on how much they charge but I'm sure that it doesn't come cheap.
Is it physically possible? Yes. Is it a good idea? No. If you paint carpet, the strands will stick together making a matted mess that feels nothing like carpet. If you want to change the carpet's color, try dying it.
I've never heard of it being done, but that doesn't mean that it can't be done. If you use a permanent fabric dye (I suggest trying it on a small carpet remnant first, so you can see if the color stays when you clean it), you should be able to load it into a sprayer and dye your carpet. You wouldn't want to walk on it the first week because you might spread the dye to areas that you didn't want in in. I have a room that I might consider trying it in too.
