I'm a chemistry major and our lab instructor said it was best not to wear contacts but I'm unsure if safety goggles will fit tightly as they should with ordinary glasses underneath. Will it be okay?

This is an interesting question so I took my smoke detector down to check out what was inside. I found that in the circuit board there is a component called a capacitor. A capacitor works kind of like a battery in that it will collect a electronic charge and hold it until it's released. My guess is that what continued the beeping after the battery was removed.
