Question:

Car alarm/dome light problemsssss?

Hey, I have a 99 turbo diesel dodge cummins and for the past days I kept having problems with getting my dome light to go off , tonight when I got off work it wouldn‘t go off so I went into my house and got WD40(after reading a blog on a similar case) I sprayed both door hinges and when I closed te doors the lights came off but when I went into my house my alarm starting going off time after time I finally just unplugged my batteries , I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem or knows what I can do ?

Answer:

Test the switches that connect the dome light. Also make sure that the switches on your alarm system calibrated properly. Make sure there are no loose connections and that the connections are clean. You may have a voltage leak. But you may have an alarm switch that is on time delayed but is hotor connected when you close the door. It should only be connected when someone opens the door or smashes the window.
