Question:

Car alarm going off?

There‘s a car parked on my street and it‘s alarm has been going off for about half an hour. How long should I wait before I call the police (non-emergency number).

Answer:

Call them now. There needs to be a certain amount of time that the officers have to hear the alarm for before they can tow the vehicle. So the sooner you call them and they get there and start to document it, the sooner they can tow the vehicle if they cant locate the owner. Plus they can run the plates and find the R/O (registered owner) and go to their house and have they turn if off. CALL NOW!
Well, its better than having the house across the street with its alarm going off for THREE days. No one lived there yet and they didnt have the alarm monitered so NOBODY could do anything about it, not even the police. We were about to break in and cut the wire but I found the owners info through the clerk of courts. Then it happened about three more times! At least I had the info from that point on.
PEX piping. It will expand 5x its original diam. if it freezes. Fairly cheap
Copper is long term! Ask a plumbing supply store? Ive seen elbows blow out these other systems causing flooding of basements and such.
Flip the car over. Problem solved.
