Car Alarm Randomly Going Off?!?

i currently purchased a used 2001 jeep cherokee. for about 3 days now my car alarm just randomly goes off. i live in PA and we are seeing some windy days, but we definatley have seen worse since i bought this car 3 months ago. its REALLY annoying being up at 4am to turn a car alarm off, and obvsiouly the neigbors have to hear it todoes anyone have any ideas on why this is happening. or any solutions? how about the cost to get it fixed?

Answer:

1st signs of an upcomming battery (not holding enough CCA's) problem possibly. All your electrical components can freek-out if they are all not receiving there desired volt/amperage. However even on your high end alarms the sensors on the doors ,hood, ect. become loose (improperly adjusted) . Thus , simply the sonic wave created by another vehicle closing it's door can trigger the sensor. Or a slight gust of wind that moves the hood or doors. There's also the possibility of shorted or otherwise broken wires in the system. Many factors to consider. And complete Ohm's/Volt test will need to be run over the system.
Send it in and disable the alarm before it pisses someone off at 4am and they take a baseball bat to your windshield. Not that I've ever done that repeatedly.
most will play up after a while replace it
