i am going on a trip and its about 8hours i want to take my laptop that has a power outlet charger only.and it only has about a 2hour battery time i dont want to buy an extra battery and a car cahrger for my laptop is 150 bucks so is there a car charger that you can plug the laptop charger into like plug that goes into a power outlet into a car chargeri am wondering because i just got a car charger i can plug my usb cables into thanks xoxoxo courtney

A fully charged car battery that's in good condition, meaning not 5 years old, will not be drained by charging a cell phone or other small device. I very often sit in my car eating lunch. I run the car radio AND recharge my phone for 30-45 minutes NO PROBLEM. I suspect your battery is either very old, the alternator may be weak, or you do a lot of short trips in your car, which means the battery was not fully charged. P.S. make sure the cable connections are CLEAN and tight. recharge and see what happens.
For a laptop, yes there is and it is called an inverter that converts it to ac and you plug your power supply into it so the computer runs off of AC, you battery charger you use in the wall out let at home. I use one the is 150 watts in my cigarette lighter socket. You should be able to find one from the manufacturer of the computer where they sell accessories that is specific to the computer and runs it as DC voltage.
