Question:

car windshield wipers squeak? & with new ones.?

i have a 2001 pt cruiser and my windshield wipers sequeek really bad, I tried 2 new pair and it still did it. I was told they could be pressing to hard against the window? is that an easy fix?

Answer:

The pressure on the door is the recommended pressure by the manufacturer. The 50 psi is the max pressure allowed by the tire company. Higher pressure will slightly increase mileage but degrade safety and handling
Hi, The sticker on your door is stating the RECOMMENDED tire pressure for that vehicle. The tire has the MAXIMUM tire pressure for that tire. The higher (harder) the tire pressure the less rolling resistance it has, the lower (softer) the tire is the more comfortable the ride is. The wider the tire is the more rolling resistance you have as well. What to do? I'd run them at 42psi which should give you the best of both worlds.
to hard is spelled t-o-o. The wiper arm is bent you have to bend it back. Mine got bent in a drive through car wash.
That might be the case. Try waxing the windshield first and see if the squeaking stops.
Buy some Rain-x and apply it to your windshield. This will at least allow you to put it on a slower setting.
