Question:

Cast Iron Bathroom Sink Drain Pipe Beneath Floor?

Hi Everyone, I have a leak I discovered the other day doing routine checks and it turns out the cast iron drain pipe under my bathroom floor is leaking. The leak is at the surface topof the cast iron where the pipe is screw in.Water is just pouring out when the sink drains. Is there an gasket that goes on this or can some type of sealant such as epoxy be used toremedy this or will there be an entire replacement? Some of the pipe is connected to PVC by Fernco Connectoror Coupler with bands around it with screws tighten.Isthis an easy fix and if it requires removing where wouldI find the PVC replacement and Fittings and whatwill be descriptions of what to buy? thanks all

Answer:

My wife just purchased a helmet this past weekend which offers the best of all worlds; the HJC model IS-16. It is a full face helmet, which comes with a clear visor, but also has an internal sun visor, which flips down by sliding a button on the top of the helmet forward, and pops instantly back up inside the helmet, at the touch of a release button, also located on the top of the helmet. It ran around $250. (Cdn) DOT approved. I'm considering buying one for myself.
CLEAR shield with sunglasses, eventually it will get dark and even light tints get dark. But Full face are MUCH safer. Used both.
I use a full face lid with clear visor and sunglasses
Go to Dick's Sporting Goods get the Okuma STX (its special made by OKUMA exclusively for Dick's). I'd get the size 20 Match it with an Ugly Stick Lite 2 piece 7 foot rod(you might have to get the rod from Bass Pro). I Have this exact combo in various sizes. These reels are great with 10bb Smooth as silk. Mine are over a year old and just as good as the day i bought them and I am NOT careful with my gear. The reels will run between $30 (on sale right now) and $50 the pole will cost about the same I have 10 all together
When I wear my full face helmets I prefer to use a clear face shield with sun glasses so that I can remove the sunglasses if I'm still out after sunset or it starts to get cloudy. It's easier to take off your sunglasses then it is to carry and change face shields
