Question:

Cat scratching door, how can we make him stop?

Every night when we go to bed, we would like to close the doorThat way we could keep the cat out of the roomThe cat is always jumping on the bed and waking us up throughout the nightHowever, when we do close the door, he scratches at it; then he opens itAnd it is a round handleWe can keep him from opening the door, just put a child handle on itBut we are lost as to the scratchingWe are unable to damage the door frame in anyway because we are in an apartment, tho we can drill into the wallsAlso it is on an L shape of the wall, so a regular gate won't work.

Answer:

This may sound weird but, every person I used to make it for loved it 1 can or pouch of Tuna mixed to taste with mayo or however you like it 1 wheat or your favorite wrap Some fresh lettuce or tomatoes as well if you desire Now, I typically made this with strawberry jam, but I bet apricot will work well You want to take the wrap and lightly spread a little bit of the jamYou don't want to use too much, just a very light coating Stick the lettuce to the jam area and add the tuna and fixingsRoll up and enjoy! Sounds weird but it gives the tuna a slight sweet kick without overpowering the rest of the flavors.
Make some bread doughAfter the first rise take a piece about golf ball size flatten it and place about a teaspoon of jam on it then fold it over and pinchLet rise about 30 minDeep fryMakes a good glaze for roast chickenTopping for vanilla ice cream.
Some of my favorite uses for it : 1)Thumbprint cookies-only change I make is that I actually put the jam in BEFORE baking the cookie-it gives it more of an intense, rubbery jam2)flavoring unsweetened yogurt with itPut a tablespoon of it in the bottom of a bowl, put 6-8oz of plain yogurt on top and mix well3)Duck sauce-use it to create the basis of the marinade to baste a duck or chicken withMmmmm delicous
you can always make a jelly roll use the apricot jam as the filling, works well with home made layered cakes as wellSpecial Chicken chicken halves or breasts 1/2 cup chili sauce 1 envelope onion soup mix 1/4 cup apricot jam cook chicken on grill approx 15 mins each sideMix next 3 ingredients together brush chicken with the sauce mixtureKeep cooking chicken turn baste often until well glazedchicken breasts will take less time to cook than chicken halvesIf doing this on a bbq it's a good idea to use a cheap foil cookie sheet or lasagne pan underneath the chicken so you don't get flare ups.
Scratching at the bedroom door at night can be extremely frustrating! Try taping legnths of aluminum foil onto the doorAlternatively you can tape double sided sticky tape onto the bottom half of the doorI used the aluminium foil on my bedroom door and it worked really wellAnd my cat was persistant!
