Question:

Cause of excessive axial thrust of single-stage centrifugal pump

Cause of excessive axial thrust of single-stage centrifugal pump

Answer:

(1) the accumulation error between stator and rotor stage is too large, the balance is installed and the operation is not carried out without proper adjustment;
(2) the size of the impeller and the baffle is not high, or the quality of the rotor assembly is not high, resulting in a large amount of shaft channeling;(3) the rotor nut is not tightened, and the balance plate is slid backward during operation;
(4) after the pump is started, the balance disc is not opened, and the balance sleeve is lapping. The balance plate is seriously worn out and the amount of channeling is too large;(5) the balance plate or balance sleeve is poor in material and quick in wear.
