Question:

ceramic black cooktop- something stuck on?

i have a ceramic cooktop that is black. while cooking rice one night the water boiled over and burnt onto the surface. i have tried the ceramic cleaner and does not work. does anyone know how to get it off?

Answer:

now you know how to bleed brakes there is another way. not better or easier but different you only need one person to do it. remove caliper from bike you may want to place a spanner or some steel between the pads to stop them being moved if someone pushes on the brake pedal. place it on the ground or hang by hose if its not long enough to reach the ground remove master cylinder cover fill with brake fluid open bleed screw on caliper.gravity flow of the fluid through the system will carry the air bubble's out of the linestop up master cylinder as the level goes down. once you no longer see bubble's coming out of the bleed screw tighten it up put caliper back on bike. then test that you have rear brakes. replace cap clean up all done have used this system a few times seems to work OK.
Baking soda make a paste with water will not scratch and will clean it right up.
I use Windex multi-purpose spray. I know, it made me nervous too, to use something other than the creamic cleaner.but I now use it all the time on the ceramic surface for cleanups and it works great!!
I have had Ceramic cook tops for 10 years; the first one was as good as new when I gave it away. To get really bad burnt foods off, use a razor blade (like the one you use for getting dried paint off glass). Hold it at a 30 degree angle. A razor blade was even included with the first stove. Then, use ceramic cleaner or otherwise to get the residue off. I recently bought a new cleaner Green Works by Clorox, a natural cleaner recommended for glass, stainless steel, and sealed granite. So far, so good.
