Question:

ceramic braces is it better than metallic ones?

i‘m planning to have ceramic braces. is it more recommendable than metallic ones? is it really unnoticeable? is it more fragile than the metal ones. and does it easily stain or turn yellow after few months? if yes, then how do you guys handle this?

Answer:

I had ceramic braces and they were fine. They didn't take longer than metallic ones would have and they were less noticeable. I never had a bracket break. The brackets themselves will not stain, but clear ties around the brackets will, so I recommend that you get silver ties around the ceramic brackets.
noo get the metallic ones instead. the metallic ones are recommended more because it takes less time with them and ceramic braces are very fragile. they can break easily. the ceramic braces are less noticeable than metallic ones, but it's still not worth it to get them. and they do stain easily. i have a friend with ceramic braces and they're so yellow, even though she does maintain good oral hygiene. i don't know how guys handle this but you should really just get the metallic braces. they're so much better.
