Question:

Ceramic or Metal for a three barrel curling iron?

I would like to buy one but i had someone tell me to buy the ceramic and someone tell me to buy the metal. Please help me decide which one is better.

Answer:

Very sparingly. My V twins provide plenty of engine braking on the road and I don't touch the rear brake on the track bike.
I use both all the time, that is the way I was taught and I have been riding 12+ years now. So yes I use the rear brakes on my bike. You were also taught correctly.
yes, while the front brake supplies nearly 70% of the stopping power, using the rear brake, helps lower stopping distance and reduces wear and tear on the front brake. If you are using them both correctly the wear should be similar on each and therefore they should be replaced at the same time.
Ceramic will be healthier for your hair. Obviously will still be damaging, but not as much as metal. Go to your local hair salon and ask what they recommend for your hair type and what will work best for you, and will be less damaging.
