Question:

Cheap cooking methods for third world countries !?

Where I live, logging is illegal amp; charcoal is gotten illigally , we`re taming effects of GWIs there a way to get cheaper ways for poor families to use for cooking as they are

Answer:

I don't know if it really makes any difference or not, but, I put the shiny side out.
Unless you are using a radiant heat oven where the heat source would be reflected away by the shiny side (very unlikely in any case), it makes no difference what so ever.
Watch The Learning Channel program How is This Madethe dull side is the bottom when foil is made, the shiney side is that one that is upIt makes no difference at all which side you use to cover or wrap anything.
They are the sameIt doesn't matterThe dull/shiny sides of foil are the result of the machinery that feeds the aluminum through ever smaller and smaller openings in presses.
Solar cooking using parabolic metal reflectors requires no fuel, only sunlight (cheap ones could be made from papier mache [strips of paper, coated with a flour and water mix and crosslayered] applied to a fibreglass or metal mould which has been coated with oil or fat to make removal easy, dried, coated with glue and covered with alfoil[aluminium foil],but would need to be larger than the pure metal ones, and both types need to track the sun)Dried animal dung is used in many places, like IndiaThere are now improved designs to allow the most efficient use of fuelI saw something about it on TVYou could try Wikipedia or Google: maybe someone reading this could helpAlso, investigate Permaculture (covering the soil with plants): you can harvest and dry the dead stuff and use it as free fuelChoose plants suited to your climate and try a range(some may be eaten by insects, etc.)Even bundled grasses will do.:D
