Question:

Chemical names and formulas?

I am so confused on this. For example, i have to write the formula for Cupric Sulfide. This is ionic, isn‘t it? And if this is ionic then don‘t you cross and drop the charges? But on my answer sheet it says it is CuS Can someone please walk me through how to do this?

Answer:

Copper can have a charge of +1 or +2 cupric refers to copper with a charge of +2 cuprous refers to copper with a charge of +1 SO copper is +2 and sulfide if -2 you cross and drop the charges to get CuS
Get a set of replacement blades. If the new ones still smear, clean the windshield glass thoroughly as you may have some type of oily residue on the glass.
get some replacement blades, (Walmart sells them, or almost any large retail store that has stuff not just clothes. Also, sometimes when people go through automatic car washes, they get a film or wax on their windshield. (or if you use a product like rain-X) once it wears out, you get a smudge effect. Therefor it is good to also clean your window. get some paper towels and a good window cleaner and clean the outside of the window. (Make sure you clean it REALLY well). this will help. do it first because it could actually fix your problem. if the problem still persists then it's definatly time for new wiper blades.
NaCl CuS KCl MgO These are the molecular formula for some ionic compounds.
You may be burning oil from the top of your engine then the oily smoke blows right across the windshield. Or you live by a expressway and the diesel smoke from trucks coats the windshield. I would clean the windshield and apply Rain-X this would help detour the oil from sticking. See if the car has this residue over the entire car, if so cover it when not in use.
