When dolomite is heated for an extended period of time at elevated temperatures it decomposes to give carbon dioxide and a mixture of calcium oxide and magnesium oxide. If a 5.424 g sample of this mineral is heated for several hours at 950 °C, how many grams should the mixed oxide residue remaining weigh?

yes it is, it takes a little time, but as you gain confidence the hollow feeling in the pit of the stomach goes away, Any time you have a life changing event AND TELEPHONE POLES QUALIFY, It makes you much more careful, and you know lots of new facts about riding with your partner, and how fast things can go from fine. to fubar. I have been down on a bike, and I have also had a friend just miss creaming me at high speed for not paying attention, and another friend who slammed me from behind at a stop sign and pushed me into a T intersection, lucky for me there was no traffic, just the initial crash. You have to really pay attention riding with friends, I like those helmets they sell now with built in intercoms, that might be a good investment for the future and my help this from happening again.
Yes, I can understand being nervous. In 58 years of riding (somewhere in the 300K-400k range) I have had 2 accidents, one, head on with a car, who decided to pass in an S curve, with me coming the other way, second, topped a small hill, going way too fast, a car coming the other way decided to turn into a church yard, turned into me. Broke a couple of small bones, nothing serious. I have ridden in many states, Germany, France, England, Switzerland, etc. My advice, and the creed, if you will, which I ride by is to try to appear to be as big as the biggest truck on the road, but to always be prepared to act like a motorcycle. You MUST ride defense, but do it in an offensive manner. If you appear timid, car drivers will take advantage of you, cut you off, try to beat you through a light, etc. Ride PROUD, ride SAFE, see EVERYTHING which is, or can be in front of you. If you and a car appear to be headed for the same place, be sure you are not there when he gets there. already be gone, or not there yet. Pick which is safer foy you. Ride safe!!! Tomcotexas
I think its normal. I was never seriously hurt in all my crashes. Plus i enjoyed the flying bit. Not so much the bike landing on top of me though. So i just got back on. But you sideswiped your husband and hit a telephone pole. Um yeah dude. Its pretty normal to be nervous. Through no fault of your own you put yourself at risk and also your husband. Thats gotta make anyone a wee bit nervous. I think just take it real slow. go out by yourself without your husband and take some slow easy rides and get your confidence back.
