My lights work only half way on my tree, I have tried to replace the next in line, it does nothing, any ideas?....I have also replaced lights which are in the unlit part with ones that work, the lights seem fine.

sounds like the fuse, it is in the plug and replacement fuses come in that little plastic pack with the lights. If you plug in too many strands of lights that can make the fuse blow...believe I know, it has happened to me
buy a light tester.... I dont know if these are sold in stores but they do sell them on qvc.
Don't waste money on replacement, use your brains and go return the pack for one that works... P.S make sure the packs are not opened...
