Cold air intake question?

I recently put on a cold air intake on my 97 firebirdthere were some noticeable changes and seemed worth it till I got to highway speed and it caused my speedometer to fluctuate and go all over the place. I just put my original stock setup back in and it went away.seems like it was getting too much air and messing with the computer.is there anyway to pit the cai back on with out it messing up like that at highway speeds?

Answer:

either you overlooked a connection or your not checking on the rev that you need to adjust on your driving.read the manual you bought on the cool intake.if you have to get a expert on how to adjust the fuel air on the computer on your car.
Remote control start. heated seats help. I held out car searching for those amenities. To answer your question it pends. Some people in these regions love it some hate it. I loved it as a teen cuz our family went skiing/snowboarding, and ice skating/hockey fans. But in mid January when every bone hurts and you have regular heat, oven, and electric heaters on to feel not freezing it blows. Oh and its expensive to pay for heat.
Yes. I lived in Africa for all of my youth, and I now live close to the Arctic circle. It was difficult at first but after a few years, I got used to it. I now prefer a cold climate and could not live in a warm country.
Check your hose and see if they are loosen in any ways. Next check your throttle body and see if your intake connected to the throttle body is loose as well tight them well. High way speed and intake system will of course give you more air and if something is loose it will make your intake manifold to suck in much air that will make your RPM to act like it have a vacuum leak when it dont.
