Question:

Cold air intakes for F150?

I own a 2004 Ford F150 5.4L V8 and im in the market for a cold air intake and im debating on three brands and i dont know which to get. 1. Roushthe main reason i want a roush cai is because roush are meant for fords, fords is their priority. 2. KN the reason i like them is because they make very reliable products and the money is worth it. 3. AEM Brute Force CAI i was on you tube and they had a video of them installing it and when it came to the test drive it just made the truck engine sound more aggressive and increased its performance just like the other two but it just makes the truck sound so mean. Please help me out if you can.

Answer:

real, they are going to all supply concerning to a similar, and no it wont shrink to rubble the air/gasoline ratio or something. I actual have the okn and that i like it. i does no longer get the chrome one, the black one seems to artwork extra efficient. yet roush could be exceedingly cool to have, i could probable pass with that one 2nd.
KN for sure. I have a KN in my Mustang and I felt immediate change in performance and my mpg once I install it.
open the hood, and look at the cold air intake on your truck now, keep in mind just because you hear the intake does not mean its faster. none of those intakes are worth the money, and will not live up to the claims in horsepower, keep in mind anything that makes your engine work harder, wears it out sooner (which means you rebuild it sooner) keep your money in your pocket, you want a mean machine, put a roush mustang 5.0 in your truck, THAT WOULD BE MEAN Go ask your mechanic what he thinks of performance chips and cold air intakes.
