Question:

Converting spiral inductor to rectangular spiral. Need straight line length. Help?

I have a spiral inductor based on the archimedes' spiral. It has a starting radius of 0.0635mm, 0.3175 mm lines and spaces and is 15 turns long. I need to know the straight line length so I can design a rectangular inductor based on the first order length. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

Answer:

Why not just design it based on the square spiral, and the required inductance and Q value?
wow so what r you gonna do with the inductor huh, huh:-) im afraid that the radius is not gonna help you at all cause the radius will help you find the cross sectional area of the inductor.try using this formula Llenth N(turns)*I(current)/H (magnetic field strenth of the inductor) if you didnt catch it then here is it again {LNI/H} later dude!
