Question:

Cooking turkey in aluminum pan without bottom support?

So, yesterday I made a turkey for my sister in law and accidentally left the cookie sheet pan I used to support the turkey in the aluminum pan at her house! Which is 2 hours away! Now I'm making a second turkey for my husband (who wasn't able to be home for thanksgiving yesterday) and all I have is an aluminum pan, it's a 10lb turkey, the pan says it can hold a 20lb turkeyCan I just bake the turkey with just the pan without any bottom support???

Well, you could check out the stock exchangeread the financial newsopen an on-line trading account with a margin loan and do some day tradingthat will ensure you are very good at alt-tabbingYou will need at least a second monitor thoughbut if you have two video cards installed in your desktop you can usually do thatand two monitors should provide a 10% increase in productivity for your work as wellgiving you more free time to day tradeit's win-win!
The only problem is that the foil tends to sag when you lift the panYou would want to judge how it holds up before you remove it from the ovenIt likely will be ok, but if it seems to want to bend too much you can get a cutting board or cookie sheet or maybe even lift the shelf out of the oven with the pan on itIt's one of those situations where you look and see what's needed and go get it.
