Question:

cool air intake on honda pilot?

I have a 2003 honda pilot? can you put a cool air intake in it? what exactly does it do? would you even want one on a pilot? why or why not? Thanks.

Answer:

Both ram air and cold air intakes are usually better than a stock air intake. However, when comparing the two, one is not always better than the other. It depends on how they are designed and built that matters.

I have a 2003 honda pilot? K. can you put a cool air intake in it? I can't, but you can. what exactly does it do? Allows the engine to breathe better by taking in cooler air from below the fender/bumper instead of the hot air in the engine bay. Supposed to increase MPG and HP slightly although not very noticeable. Makes lots of all bark and no bite noise. would you even want one on a pilot? I wouldn't. why or why not? Because in my opinion spending $200+ on an intake alone for very minimal and noticeable gains when not seeking many many other performance mods for the engine is a waste of money. But I also believe people should do whatever they want to their car regardless of what others think.
No it is not the same thing.
