Question:

Could a crane fly have given birth in my room?

Okay, like a week ago I caught a daddy long legs (a crane fly) in my room with a mug and an envelope and I just left it there, when I removed it there were loads of little black dots on the envelope, I didn't really think about it cos I figured it was the coffee that was inside the mug or something. I got rid of most of them but didn't go out of the way if you know what I mean... And now there are loads of TINY little flies in my room. Could these be baby crane flies? Or something else? And if so how the hell do I get rid of them before they get huge and start reproducing all over again?!

Answer:

Crane flies reproduce in summer, but the eggs take 2-3 weeks to hatch, not to mention the time they spend as larvae, so if you caught it last week it doesn't sound like that would be the case. I would call an exterminator to get their opinion.
go to target and get a bug zapper its 2300 volts so when they hit the wires they are dead or spray poison in your room.
