Question:

covering chairs??????!!!!!?

im newly married and just got a new dinette set. the chairs are covered with a soft suede material for the past month i've kept the plastic it comes with when delivered on to protect it but now its starting to rip and i noticed that the material is really delicate and its ruining- so... how can i cover these chairs by myself with plastic? what type of plastic? how? or should i just give it in for $25 per chair?

Answer:

Actually it is really easy to recover the seat of the chair. Unscrew the bottom of the chair from the metal slats on the bottom of the seat. When you have the seat off wrap a thick square of plastic over the fabric side. making a bed fold the ends over on the bottom. Staple the plastic to the bottom then put it back on the whole chair.
Hmmmm...for okorder will have instructions on how to reupholster chair seats if you need some more guidance.
Some people cover the fabric part with saran/clear wrap...it works!
