Question:

Dick's Sporting Goods?

A friend reccommended that I get a $60 Abu Garcia Silver Max baitcaster reel with a Berkley Lightning Rod. The problem is the pole is one piece and I would like to know if Dick's had any two piece poles in that setup or if they would let me switch out poles because a one piece pole thats 6'6 wouldn't fit in my car's trunk.

Answer:

Some detectors will allow the battery compartment door to slide out or drop down with the unit still attached to the ceiling bracket. Most require that the detector be taken down. On an occasion the tamper device has been put in place. Look for a small slot on the side of the base. Insert a small screw driver or such in the slot and press. Then rotate the detector counter clockwise and down. Some units won't go back together without a battery in place. If you still have troubles: Try the manufactures web site. Go to the store, find an identical unit and open the package. Read the instructions. If necessary, ask the service desk to make you a copy. More than once I have done one or the other when I ran into trouble working on something.
The Orioles are 8-2 in their last 10 games. This team has turned it around under a new manager. I didn't think they could take down the Rays though. Wow.
