Is there any different meaning when you say on bed/in bed?
On the bed, on top of covers. In bed, under the covers.
ON BED = You could be sitting, just lying down without covers, you could be fully dressed .. but resting to catch your breath .... IN BED = Tucked in bed, ready to go to sleep, in night clothes and have decided to relax/sleep for the rest of the time, no intention of getting out of bed ....
Hello, in bed means at a place where there is a bed, but on bed means to be above or in contact with the bed. Regards, Anonymous

On bed = physically lying on the bed In bed = sleeping with and/or having sexual relations with someone OR physically lying on the bed (between the sheets) such as in bed sick
