Question:

Differences between a Hand Chain Hoist and a Lever Hoist?

Can you give me some and pretty much define the two? It's for a project at work. Thank you :)

Answer:

A hand chain hoist has an endless loop of chain that runs through the chain pulleys in such a manner that pulling on one section causes a loop to shorten which moves the lifting hook up or down. A lever hoist uses a lever that you pull on to turn the cable drum, which pulls a cable that is attached to the block and hook.
Endless Chain Hoist
They are both manually operated. With a hand chain hoist the operator lifts the load attached to the load chain by working the hand chain with the hands. With a lever hoist the operator lifts the load by turning a lever with the hands to lift the load attached to the load chain or a cable.
