Question:

Diffrence Between Muffler/Cat-Exhaust System?

im just looking to make my car sound better not to make it perform better so should i get a muffler or a cat-back system is just getting a new muffler worst for my car? whats really the diffrence between the two? i hope your gonna tell me if im just looking for sound to go with a muffler seeing as they seem to be far cheaper!

Answer:

any part of the exshaust sytem rear of the axle so yes its the muffler.
axleback means from the rear axle to the end of the exhaust system and catback means from the catalytic converter to the end of the exhaust system.
Go with the muffler. The only difference is the cat-back system should have exhaust pipes that are bigger in diameter to flow more air which is why they have more horsepower.
