Question:

Do i need a posi trac differential if im gonna put on a 600 cfm Holley Carb?

Well, my teacher's over here killing my buzzI have a 600 cfm Holley 4 Barrel that im gonna be putting on a stock 5.0 Ford F-150Im gonna be putting in more things to it later on, Crane cams, better pistons, hooker headers and exhaustMy teacher told me, its not gonna work, do you have posi-trac? I dont, but does that really matter? It might not let out all the power to both wheels, i know that, but i dont have that much money, im barely 16I dont wanna spend a grand on a posi-trac.SO MY QUESTION:Can i put in this carb into my 5.0 and have it run good even though its stock, or do i NEED TO HAVE posi trac in order for it to run? Is it a necessity or noThanks to all the answerers.

Answer:

venison and elk are a darker meat so only way to tell is to open it and smell it if it smells good eat it if it smells bad toss it
The carb and the differential have nothing to do with each other in terms of the truck running or being driveable under normal conditionsIf you install the carb properly, the truck will run and it will be driveable with the stock differential If you're adding significant power to the truck (by installing a better carb etc.,) you should be prepared for the truck to more easily spin the rear tire(s) when you get on it unless you put in some form of a limited slip differential to get power to both rear wheels at onceYour teacher's point was probably that if you add lots of power, your truck probably won't be much faster in a drag race (from a dead-stop) since it will just spin 1 wheel (with the stock open differential) instead of putting down the power to both wheels using a posi differential Your truck with a better carb WILL be faster once you're at speed (say above 35mph), even without the posi-trac because traction won't be an issue once the truck is moving.
Color is irrelevantWas it properly stored? Did you just defrost it?
