Question:

Do reclining sofas recline only at the outter two seats or also in the middle seat?

Also for a rocker recliner (chair), is there usually a lock mechanism to stop the rocking?

Answer:

It depends on the sofa. Mine is a corner sofa/sleeper. It has 2 recliners on one side separated by an armrest and small table and the other side is the pull out bed. My rocker recliner does not have any kind of locking mechanism
I saw a sofa that reclined in all three positions advertised at Finger Furniture a few years back but not lately. As for the rocker chair, it won't rock when reclined.
All depends on the sofa. We had one that had a both recliners on one end and a pull out bed on the other. It was a sectional. If it's a smaller sofa, probably just the two ends. And I don't think a rocker recliner will have a mechanism to keep it from rocking... It just won't rock while it's reclined.
Sofa recliners don't usually recline in the middle---only on the ends. Depends on the rocker recliner. I'm sure you could get a locked mechanism if you asked specifically.
