Hi im going to purchase a steam cleaner to wash my carpet but i also have a vacuum that i use to take off the dirt off my carpet but it really needs a wash thats why i want to buy a steam cleaner. does the steam cleaner also replace a vacuum by sucking dirt up or is it only for washing the carpets? cuz i dont want to buy that on top of buying another newer vacuum
Yeah i am a foremost expert on carpet cleaning,believe me it is way better than a vaccum.It sucks the dirt as well clean your carpet.I use The RugDoctor myself when i`m slaving around the house.Well good luck with that!

No, you have to have a regular vacuum to just vacuum. The steamer will not work as well as the vacuum; they are made to suck up water, not dry vacuum.
