Question:

Do tile floors ever feel clean?

Just moved into a house with tile floors, I have fiber mopped, stick-vac‘d, wet mopped them and they still feel gritty on my bare feet. Anyone have any suggestions or will they always feel dirty?

Answer:

have you checked the grouting, it may be disingrating - and need sealing or replacement.
The way they feel now may be in the design of the tile or they may be old and wearing out.
They may be made like that so you don't slip on them. Smooth tiles are dangerous and many women have broken hips on them. So they started adding a roughing to the finish to make them safer. This may be what you are dealing with. Sorry.. Its not dirty, its being safe.
cleansing hardwood flooring or tile will greater effective than probably be the comparable, cleansing smart. My very own determination is hardwood. They do would desire to be wiped sparkling alot and you will experience any speck of dirt on them. I even have tile flooring in my kitchen and this is the comparable way. Sorry i do no longer think this helps. compromise get the two, my residing house has hardwood flooring for the era of and then interior the kitchen and bathing room we've tile.
The tiles are probably anti slip so they will naturally feel a bit rough to your bare feet. Also, if the tiles are brand new then it will take a while for you to sweep and mop away the dust left from the tile glue and grouting. The best way I've found to remove this fine grit from tiles is, unfortunately, to get down on your hands and knees with a dish sponge and a bucket of hot soapy water and physically scrub them - at least twice, more likely 3 or 4 times.
