Like so many vices in life, it's a matter of quantityCigarettes and other tobacco products are known carcinogens, and the health effects are widely advertisedBest to quit(I should take my own advice here.) Drinking in moderation has been shown to have a positive impact on health, but the key is MODERATIONA glass of beer or wine with dinner is a pleasant addition to a good mealA three day bender, not so muchAt then end of the day, our little vices improve the quality of our lives: the question to ask is how much risk are you willing to assume for that pleasure?
