The Samsung Blast does have an alarm clock. As for loud, it isn't as loud as a normal alarm clock, but it's an adequate volume. There are four kind of alarms on it. There's a Wake-Up Alarm, an Alarm 1 and Alarm 2 for other things, and an Auto Power-Up Alarm that I've never tried before, but I speculate turns on the phone at the given time. Hope this helps.
