Question:

Do you remember last time that you went roller skating?

How old were you and did you make a video?

Answer:

To put out a fire you need to deprive it of oxygen and/ orreduce the temperature so the reaction stops. To put out an airpalne fire' on the ground, they try to do both with a chemical/water foam. (Like soap suds, but a lot thicker and stickier.)
You land it in the Hudson River
lol that's on my science worksheet
I honestly completely agree with you. This is extremely dangerous and can cause many injuries/fatalities. The reason people do it is probably because they lack common sense and do not realize someones life is in danger. All I can say is watch out and make sure you look both ways twice before crossing the street in a parking lot
Any fire can be put out by removing any one of the three items listed. With an airplane fire, the danger is the fuel in the plane, so usually foam is used to cool the plane, and keep the O2 and the fuel separated. In this case, you are removing the O2 from the fire, and preventing the fumes from the fuel from spreading. With a forest fire, there are different ways of stopping the spread. Water can be used (hoses and air drops) along with flame retardant chemicals, to reduce the heat and block the O2. Fire breaks can be made where there is no fuel so that the fire does not travel. This can be done by removing any combustible material manually, or by the tactic of setting another fire to back burn the existing fuel creating a fire break.
