Question:

Does a hard-wired smoke detector use power from the battery?

Does a hard-wired smoke detector use power from the battery under normal circumstances? I had a 9V battery installed in a wired smoke detector. But now the battery has drained and it chirps because the battery is low. I don't understand why the smoke detector would be sucking power from from the battery if its hard wired. I would think it should only get the power from the battery if it is not getting power from the hard-wire. Could there something wrong with the smoke detector or wiring, or is this normal?

Answer:

When a burglar appears on your lot and you have an alarm installed in your house or car, They will arrive instantly and fight the burglar, but if you don't have an alarm you can always call them. However, if you call the police when there's no burglar, they will fine you §500. If Nightlife is installed, the police officer will be furious with your Sim.
Trust me, you're better off just paying the ticket and letting it go. I used to be the ticket fighter when I felt I was in my right to you know. I learned that taking it to court is just a way for the city to get even more money from you. You will pay court costs plus fees and the ticket. Just pay the ticket.
