Question:

Does a short ram intake sound the same as a cold air intake?

need help whats the different between both of them and which is better to buy

Answer:

yeah, they are basicaly the same thing, the difference is that for some cars the intake needs to be short, b/c of not enought space, and the cold air intake, which is the same thing for other cars, cold intake alreasy says everything, simply more cold air pumping to ur engine! hope that helps
the cold air intake system is a hose that is diverted to the lowest point of the vehicles front end, it is designed to get the cool air that is ahead of the engine . otherwise most air intake systems get the air from under the hood and this air is hot because of the heat from the engine and exhaust heating up the air under the hood, a short ram intake is the actual plenium that the air hose hooks up to to send the air to the engine, i would recomend a kn air filter too
