Almost all rug sellers also have rugs repaired. They know people who weave rugs and they take your rugs and have them repaired. They also buy used 2nd hand - hand weaved rugs, and sell or exchange them for machine made or cheaper but brand new rugs. Then they take those 2nd hand rugs and have them repaired and they put much more expensive price tags on them. Sometimes they even find antiques. Everyone is happy.
