Check the connections of the switches in the door itself. If the power locks work with the key then the system should still work. As far as the remote, see if the battery in it needs to be replaced. Even then sometimes those things just stop working.
Well a flashlight cannot be turned into a laser - so look at the video again with attention to the edits. red goggles versus green laser - no use, if you want to protect you either mirror or have the same colour as the laser - green goggles reflect green light.
