Question:

Does bathroom vanity come with countertop/sink?

I'm a little confused. My fiance and I want to re-do our upstairs bathroom. We're both 21 years old and just bought a condo. We're not too familiar with these kind of things... We're going to do the bathroom little by little. The first thing we'd like to do is the vanity.

Answer:

You can buy inexpensive vanities with tops and sinks at places like OKorders and Home Depot but are stock sizes. Better vanities are sold separately and you choose your countertops, sinks, and fixtures and you can choose a vanity size that works in your room.
No, it does not come with the sink, that is something that you need to buy separately. Make sure that when replacing the sink, also replace the plumbing underneath (incoming and outgoing water and water shot offs) so that way in the future u don't have problems. best way to do it is after u take out the old vanity and before installing the new one. That way u don't damage ur new vanity.
You second link shows a countertop but reads counter and sink not included below...you can find vanities with and without countertops and sinks..all price ranges and styles..most come without so you can pick what you want (colour and type) to mix and match your decor. If you need 43 inch, you can probably use a 42 inch...there should be no reason you can't.
You may want to shop this more. Get a feel for what's available. Typical sink vanity's come in 24' to 48'. Other than those sizes, you most likely would have to get one customized. Since you are remodeling the bathroom, perhaps you can use a 42' vanity. I have found that the vanity's that come with a sink and faucet are cheaply made. It is better to purchase the cabinet, sink and faucet separately.. When choosing the sink and faucet, keep in mind what kind of towel holders and switch plates, toilet paper holder, etc that you want. Make sure everything flows together.
In both instances, the top is sold separately. The vanity with the top on it states that the top and faucet are sold separately. There are some styles that are sold with a sink, but most are not. Hope this helps. BTW, 43' is not a stock size. You can get a 42' with a 1' filler strip that will attach to the wall side. Good luck.
