Question:

Does bench-pressing significantly workout the triceps?

I heard from someone that bench-pressing works out the triceps (well, as well as many other muscles), but how much does it work them out? A bit? A lot? I'm asking this because I want to know whether or not I should do tricep workouts on top of bench pressing. I really hate working them out, but if bench pressing works them out by a significant amount then that would be all I need :)

Answer:

Bench pressing works out your triceps but not that much. You should still do separate workouts for your triceps. Everyone thinks the secret to big arms is big biceps but it's triceps. I spent more time in Iraq then I wanted to and 6 days out of each week there was spent in the gym during my down time so I know what I'm talking about.
